Privacy Policy

1. Our approach
OCFREEDOM is designed with privacy at its core. The Tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type during your session is sent to our servers or saved anywhere. Closing the tab ends the session.
2. What we collect
Payment data: When you pay for access, payment is handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. Stripe processes your payment and gives us a transaction reference plus the email you used.
Analytics (only with your consent): If you accept analytics cookies via the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site (page views, referral source, device type, approximate location). Nothing is collected if you reject non-essential cookies. We use Google Consent Mode v2, so tracking is fully blocked until you opt in.
Anonymous counters: The homepage shows two anonymous numbers: how many people finished the tool, and how those people rated it (1–5 stars). These are stored on a public counter service (abacus.jasoncameron.dev) and contain no personal data — just a number per counter.
3. What we don't collect
- We do not collect, store, or transmit anything you type during your session
- We do not require an account or login
- We do not load any analytics cookies before you give consent
- We do not sell, share, or trade any personal data
4. Cookies & local storage
Essential (always active):
- ocfreedom_access (localStorage): Remembers you've paid so you don't have to pay again on the same device
- ocf_consent (localStorage): Remembers your cookie preference so we don't ask again
- ocf_session_done (localStorage): A flag so each browser only counts as one completed session in the anonymous counter
- ocf_rating_done (localStorage): A flag so each browser can only leave one anonymous star rating
Analytics (only after you click "Accept all"):
- Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): Anonymous analytics to understand site traffic
You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer, or clear cookies through your browser settings.
5. Third-party services
- Stripe — Payment processing (Privacy Policy)
- Google Analytics — Website analytics, only with consent (Privacy Policy)
- Abacus (jasoncameron.dev) — Free public counter for the anonymous numbers on the homepage
- Vercel — Website hosting (Privacy Policy)
6. Data retention
Payment records are kept by Stripe according to their retention policy. Google Analytics data, if enabled, is automatically deleted after 14 months. The anonymous counters are just numbers — they cannot be linked to any individual.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data. Since we store virtually no personal data ourselves (Stripe holds your payment info), exercising these rights is straightforward. For any requests, email [email protected].
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting.
